About the role
- Project manager handling technical customer projects in automotive sector. Managing customer relationships and project budgets while collaborating with internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Project management: Planning, control, monitoring and execution of technical customer projects (quality, schedules, costs, budget)
- Quotation management: Technical evaluation of inquiries, support in preparing proposals
- Customer support: Maintenance and development of customer relationships, identification of cross- and up-selling opportunities
- Negotiation: Independent conduct of negotiations within authorized limits, contract management
- Interface role: Close collaboration with engineering, procurement, production and external partners
- Reporting: Regular status reports to sales management and executive management
- Responsibility: Full accountability for overall projects regarding components and processes (quality, schedules, costs, budget)
Requirements
- Degree in a technical field
- Several years of professional experience in project management, ideally in the automotive industry
- Industry knowledge in the automotive sector (VDA 6.3, IATF, etc.)
- Proficient with MS Office and ERP systems
- Strong customer orientation, entrepreneurial mindset and a structured, solution-oriented working style
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Some initial leadership experience desirable
- Strong communication skills, team spirit and natural authority
- Willingness to travel and flexible working hours
