- Application Engineer at MacDermid Alpha focusing on electronic materials development and validation. Supporting laboratory procedures, testing, and documentation compliance.
Responsibilities
- This position is highly laboratory‑focused, supporting test method development, DOE‑driven process optimization, reliability testing, and failure analysis.
- The application Engineer plays a central, hands‑on role in supporting development and validation of next‑generation electronic materials, including advanced die attach solutions and sintered nanomaterials.
- Support failure mode analysis, identify defects and material-related issues, and recommend improvement solutions.
- Performing product evaluations, application trials, and performance testing.
- Support sample build campaigns using specialized tools.
- Preparing technical reports, test summaries, and recommendations.
- Operate and manage laboratory application process equipment including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, sinter presses, environmental test chambers, die shear machines, and electrical probing systems.
- Perform periodic maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure optimal working conditions.
- Ensuring technical documentation is accurate, up‑to‑date, and compliant with industry regulations.
- The engineer will own ISO/EHS compliance, documentation discipline, and lab operational excellence.
Requirements
- Diploma /bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 0 to 5 years of experience in semiconductor or electronics assembly industry.
- Aspirational & enterprising freshers with relevant engineering degree can also apply.
- Experience with die attach or advanced packaging preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving.
- Excellent documentation and communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency with DOE, ANOVA, MSA, FMEA Preferred.
- Strong skills in Excel and Minitab.
