About the role
- Help patients reach their mobility and independence goals by providing high-quality therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care in accordance with each patient’s Plan of Care.
- Follow the established Plan of Care and communicate any changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Adhere to state practice guidelines and Elara Caring’s standards for exceptional home health care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe use of assistive devices and home exercise programs.
- Perform hands-on, active work that includes lifting, transferring, and assisting patients as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid in the state of practice.
- Minimum of six months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned coverage area.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently, with the capacity to lift 50–100 lbs.
