About the role

  • Data Engineer building scalable data pipelines and collaborating with teams at Ekimetrics. Involved in data quality, governance, and maintaining data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, ETL).
  • Automate data quality checks and data validation processes.
  • Optimize storage, query performance, and infrastructure costs.
  • Work closely with AI teams to feed training pipelines, feature stores and deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, Design and Software Engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver robust, actionable solutions.
  • Define and enforce standards for data governance, metadata management and data lineage.
  • Ensure data integrity, security and compliance.
  • Participate in engineering rituals (code reviews, design discussions, incident response).
  • Identify and fix defects and performance issues.
  • Clearly document developments and propose technical improvements.
  • Contribute to recruitment and the upskilling of junior profiles.
  • Take part in office life and internal initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in Data Engineering.
  • Strong command of Python and SQL.
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Cloud experience (AWS, GCP or Azure).
  • Familiarity with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, ClickHouse).
  • Ability to deliver well-scoped, reliable, high-quality features.
  • Discipline in applying engineering standards (testing, documentation, code review).
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail and autonomy.
  • Smooth collaboration with Product, QA, Data and Software teams.
  • Proactivity, curiosity and open-mindedness.
  • English level B1/B2
