About the role

  • Cathodic Protection Engineer at E2 Consulting Engineers managing systems for natural gas pipelines. Responsible for design, testing, compliance, and project documentation within infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage cathodic protection systems for various infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct field surveys, testing, and diagnostics to evaluate the effectiveness of existing cathodic protection systems.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, technical specifications, and project documentation.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of cathodic protection systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Corrosion Science, or a related field
  • 4-10 years of experience in cathodic protection engineering
  • Strong technical knowledge of corrosion control and cathodic protection principles
  • Proficiency in using engineering design software and tools
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Certification from the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) as a Cathodic Protection Specialist or Engineer preferred
  • Experience with cathodic protection systems for natural gas utilities and large-scale infrastructure preferred
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., NACE, ASTM)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
