About the role

  • Project Manager for fuel markets and procurement at E.ON Energy Projects in Munich. Analyzing markets and fostering supplier contracts in a sustainable energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • You act as the central point of contact for fuel markets and procurement (biomass, recovered wood, refuse-derived fuels, etc.)
  • You analyze markets, fuels and suppliers and support price negotiations and contract conclusions domestically and across Europe
  • You stay informed about industry standards, regulations and legal frameworks such as the EU REDs, the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), the Biomass Ordinance, the Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BImSchV) and the End-of-life Wood Regulation
  • You work closely with the energy business, asset management and on-site operations teams to develop and optimize procurement strategies and processes
  • You define relevant legal and regulatory requirements in the areas of fuels and the circular economy
  • You support projects in all phases and serve as the contact person for fuel market and regulatory questions, particularly regarding usage options and funding conditions
  • You assist with contract negotiations and customer discussions and maintain trusted relationships with clients

Requirements

  • Degree or technical vocational qualification in engineering, agricultural engineering, forestry or a related field
  • Professional experience in material/flow management, waste management or biomass/fuel procurement
  • Project management experience and knowledge of energy-economic frameworks for biomass and refuse-derived fuel solutions are advantageous
  • Open, team-oriented personality with intercultural competence and a passion for working toward shared goals
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills; motivated to actively shape processes
  • Confident use of common IT tools, fluent German (at least C1), business‑fluent English; additional languages are a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to suppliers, plants and customers (approx. 20%)
