About the role
- Cloud Engineer responsible for AWS Bedrock platform operations and development in a financial services context. Focused on microservices architecture, cloud governance, and security practices.
Responsibilities
- Establish a future-proof event-driven microservices architecture based on Spring Boot and Kafka
- Operate, manage and monitor the AWS-based platform
- Automate deployments using Terraform (IaC)
- Own the creation and maintenance of the relevant Terraform modules
- Serve as the interface to Cloud Governance and control functions
- Support technical assessments such as penetration tests and security audits
- Share knowledge within the team as a multiplier
- Participate in on-call duties, which will become part of the role over time
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in how the AWS cloud works, including multi-account management, cross-account security, and AWS Bedrock
- Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and Terraform (IaC)
- Integration of security checks (DevSecOps)
- Confident handling of account setup, Identity Center and IAM
- Good knowledge of VPC, network topologies, Direct Connect, Route53, MSK (Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka) and RDS
- Fluent German (C1) and good English (B2)
- Experience in cloud security is an advantage or willingness to learn these topics
- Ability to quickly grasp, analyze and derive actions for complex issues
- Valuing open communication and solution-oriented behavior
