About the role
- Solicitor in General Insurance team at DWF managing litigated personal injury defender cases. Engaging in activities like drafting pleadings and attending court hearings, with a varied caseload.
Responsibilities
- Engage in a wide range of activities, such as managing a caseload of high value claims
- Draft pleadings, reports to clients, and attend court hearings
- Work to court deadlines and progress liability investigations
- Gather evidence and consider interesting medical causation issues
- Build working relationships internally and externally to develop business networks
Requirements
- 0-1 years PQE, preferable within Casualty, Disease, EL/PL, RTA or personal and serious injury
- Technically experienced in and a real interest in Employers Liability, Public Liability, RTA, Casualty, Disease, Personal injury, Serious injury and catastrophic injury work
- Experience in handling high value defender personal injury files either in your own right, or as an assistant to more senior team members
- Familiar with working in a commercial environment
