About the role

  • Solicitor managing a diverse caseload of EL/PL and Personal Injury claims for DWF in Belfast. Conducting investigations, providing legal advice, and representing clients in court.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of litigated EL/PL / Casualty and Personal Injury claims, from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and liaising with experts.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and settlement negotiations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver integrated legal solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 1 - 3 years PQE in litigation preferably in EL/PL, Casualty and/or Personal Injury
  • Strong knowledge of EL/PL, Casualty and/or Personal Injury insurance law, including civil procedure and litigation processes
  • Proven ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience in handling high-value or complex claims is an advantage
