About the role
- Support Smart Lighting projects and drive operational solutions while engaging with internal and external stakeholders at Duke Energy. Participate in product development and project management activities in the energy sector.
Responsibilities
- help deliver solutions to complex issues
- support major growth opportunities related to Smart Lighting
- develop and design processes
- evaluate inquiries from other work groups
- support operational execution for Outdoor Lighting products and services
- support product development and project management activities with internal stakeholders
- engage with internal and external customers and stakeholders
- support requests from the Rates and Regulatory department in support of rate development and changes or alterations to rates and tariffs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, Finance or other related degree
- two (2) years minimum of related work experience
- In lieu of bachelor's degree, high school diploma/GED AND nine (9) years minimum of related work experience
- Previous technical lighting experience
- Knowledgeable of Maximo, SAP, GIS systems
- Project or product management skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software tools
- Experience successfully working in a team environment to achieve shared goals
- Experience working in utility regulatory environment
- Comprehensive financial and business acumen
- Analytics capability/ proven ability to analyze market and financial data and research to develop successful customer and product strategies and plans
- Facility management, product management, program management, energy management, project management or process management experience
- Demonstrated experience in change management, process integration and implementation and supervisory or management experience
- Business operation experience
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills including communications skills, presentation skills, conflict resolution and management skills, excellent leadership skills and good facilitation skills at all levels, both internally and externally to Duke Energy
