About the role

  • Internship in technology development focusing on software engineering and biosignal processing at Dräger. Collaborating on innovative algorithms and applications in medical and security technology.

Responsibilities

  • Biosignal processing, particularly respiratory and cardiovascular signals
  • Data-driven modeling of components of the cardiovascular system and/or lung function
  • Exploration of alternative methods and measurement techniques to determine vital parameters for exertion/stress monitoring
  • Implementation of concepts in prototype software applications

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or similar), at least in the fourth semester
  • Programming experience in software development (Python, MATLAB)
  • Solid understanding of digital signal processing, dynamic systems simulation, and statistical modeling techniques
  • Reproducible working practices (e.g., Git, notebooks, MLflow)
  • Ability to consider clinical workflows and user perspectives, and confident communication in German or English
