TechOps Specialist managing internal IT operations and user support for Dots Africa. Focus on administering Microsoft 365 and supporting tech operations in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
Internal IT Ownership
Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Company Portal
Manage user onboarding/offboarding, access rights, MFA, and licensing
Maintain asset and ticket records using GLPI or similar tools
Enforce internal IT and security policies as defined by the Security & Compliance function
Manage the complete endpoint and device lifecycle: asset ordering, procurement coordination, provisioning, configuration, issuing, tracking, repair or replacement, secure wiping, and compliant disposal
Ensure all internal IT operations, asset handling, and user access are executed in line with approved internal IT and security policies
Act as second-level support for escalations from Service Desk / Tech Support
Step in as operational cover when Tech Support is on leave or unavailable, ensuring continuity of service
Assist during high ticket volumes, leave cover, or major incidents
Use monitoring dashboards (read access) to identify user-impacting issues and coordinate escalation
Requirements
Solid experience in internal IT, system administration, or tech operations
Hands-on Microsoft 365, Intune, and endpoint management experience
Comfortable supporting non-technical users and handling escalations
Strong documentation, organisation, and follow-through
Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
Previous exposure to client-facing IT support, application support, or system admin role is an advantage
A basic understanding of ITIL, identity/access management, and ticketing systems would be a plus
Advantageous Certifications: Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, Microsoft Endpoint Administrator (MD-102), Microsoft Identity & Access Administrator (SC-300), ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
