About the role

Senior QA Engineer defining automation strategies for global IT services company. Collaborating with QA teams and maintaining test frameworks across various applications.

Responsibilities

As Senior QA Engineer you will be defining, developing, and establishing automation strategies and processes to ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability across the organization’s testing practices;
You will be designing, implementing, and reviewing automated test solutions, covering the creation, execution, and ongoing maintenance of test scripts across different platforms and environments;
You will be collaborating with the Manual QA team to identify suitable test cases for automation and providing constructive feedback to improve the quality and structure of manual test scenarios;
You will be executing manual test cases when required, supporting broader testing coverage and ensuring flexibility in adapting to project needs;
You will be setting up and maintaining automation frameworks for web, mobile, and desktop applications, enabling consistent and structured validation of features;
You will be implementing, tracking, and monitoring automation processes, producing progress reports and metrics to ensure visibility of automation activities for stakeholders;
You will be documenting automation processes, frameworks, and solutions, creating reusable assets and ensuring efficient knowledge transfer within the QA team;
You will be contributing to process improvement initiatives, helping to evolve the QA strategy and enhance the overall software development lifecycle.

5+ years of professional experience in Automation Quality Assurance, with proven expertise in building and maintaining test automation solutions;
2+ years of professional experience in manual testing, with strong understanding of core QA processes and methodologies;
1+ year of hands-on experience using Playwright, implementing automation frameworks and writing reusable test components;
Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) - Necessary condition;
Practical knowledge in writing automation scripts using at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Java, C#, or C;
Experience with shell scripting for automation support and integration;
Working knowledge of multiple testing approaches, including white-box and grey-box testing;
Strong experience with backend automation frameworks and test automation practices;
Solid knowledge of database technologies, such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB, for backend validation and test data management;
Deep understanding of Test Design Techniques and QA methodologies;
Proven experience in creating and maintaining a Master Test Plan, outlining strategy, coverage, and scope for testing across projects.
