Senior Messaging Engineer managing the design, operation, and security of Digital Realty’s Microsoft 365 messaging environment. Overseeing email security and compliance for a global workforce.
Responsibilities
Own the architecture, security, and lifecycle of Microsoft 365 messaging services
Design, implement, and enforce SPF, DKIM, and DMARC (monitoring → enforcement)
Lead email security strategy in collaboration with Security teams
Act as final escalation point for complex messaging, deliverability, and security incidents
Design and maintain advanced mail flow, transport rules, and connectors
Lead integration and optimization of Valimail and/or Proofpoint
Drive automation using PowerShell and reduce operational overhead
Define standards, policies, and best practices for messaging services
Lead messaging-related projects, tenant changes, and service improvements
Mentor and technically guide Messaging Engineers
Represent Messaging in global IT meetings
Drive continuous improvement through automation, AI, analytics, and self-service capabilities.
Represent EUC services in global IT leadership forums and steering committees.
Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating relevant innovations into the EUC roadmap.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in enterprise messaging engineering
Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 Messaging and EOP
Proven ownership of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC enforcement
Experience designing messaging services for 5,000+ users
Strong PowerShell skills for automation and reporting
Proven experience leading complex incidents and changes
Ability to work across multiple time zones with flexible availability.
Experience in multinational organizations with diverse regulatory environments.
