About the role

  • Senior Tax Manager managing preparation and filing of U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns. Collaborating with offshore teams and handling audits for Dentsu's compliance efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, prepare and/or review approximately 250 federal, state and local income tax returns, plus extensions, estimates and other income tax-related filings
  • Timely and accurate filings are a must
  • Review work prepared by in-house offshore US tax team for accuracy and completeness
  • Handle correspondence with tax authorities and manage audits, notices, and inquiries
  • Research tax issues and provide practical solutions and recommendations
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate offshore US tax team (3 members)
  • Improve tax processes and recommend best practices for implementation for efficiency and accuracy
  • Leverage external advisors efficiently to ensure accuracy of Dentsu tax returns
  • Responsible for Dentsu tax compliance budget
  • Assist Tax Director in ad-hoc tax planning and special projects

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years of experience in corporation income tax return preparation and review
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational & analytical skills
  • Experience with tax research and compliance related software, and accounting/ERP systems
  • Experience in public accounting or tax advisory services preferred
  • CPA, EA, or equivalent professional certification preferred
  • Working knowledge with OneSource compliance software highly desired
