About the role
- Accountant overseeing asset management and VAT matters in a growing technology firm. Engaging in monthly and yearly financial statement preparation with coordination on various projects.
Responsibilities
- Independent management of fixed assets for the company headquarters in Erkrath and for our subsidiaries
- Handling and clarification of VAT-related matters
- Preparation of VAT advance returns and EC Sales List (ZM) declarations
- Provisions, periodic accruals, account reconciliations
- Review of the general ledger and materials ledger
- Processing of the general and subsidiary ledgers of our subsidiary
- Assistance in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Support on special topics and projects
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte) or equivalent
- Several years (at least 3 years) of professional experience in accounting
- Solid knowledge of VAT law
- Knowledge of financial reporting under the German Commercial Code (HGB) and tax law
- Strong skills in MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Knowledge of proALPHA is an advantage
