- Accountant at MENTOR handling asset management and VAT matters for headquarters and subsidiaries. Overseeing tax compliance and supporting monthly and annual financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Independent management of fixed assets for the company headquarters in Erkrath and for our subsidiaries
- Handling and clarification of VAT-related matters
- Preparation of VAT advance returns and the EC Sales List (ZM)
- Provisions, periodic accruals, and account reconciliations
- Review of the general ledger and material ledger
- Processing of the general ledger and sub-ledgers for our subsidiaries
- Supporting the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Participation in special topics and projects
Requirements
- Completed training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte) or equivalent qualification
- Several years (at least 3 years) of professional experience in accounting
- Solid knowledge of VAT law
- Knowledge of financial reporting under the German Commercial Code (HGB) and tax law
- Confident use of MS Office applications, especially Excel
- Experience with proALPHA is an advantage
- Independent and structured way of working and openness to new challenges
