About the role

  • Clinical Operations Director overseeing multiple acute programs and ensuring patient care excellence at DaVita. Leading financial performance and regulatory compliance within designated hospital service areas.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and operational oversight for multiple acute programs within designated hospital service areas.
  • Ensures excellence in patient care, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and team engagement.
  • Responsible for overseeing the management of multiple acute programs including financial management, risk management, quality assurance, growth, patient care, and teammate engagement.
  • Provides leadership and direction to ensure safe patient care, a positive team culture, and strong hospital partner relations.
  • Formulate and manage regional budgets in compliance with DaVita policies.
  • Oversee expense reports, payroll, and charge submissions for accuracy and ethical standards.
  • Provide financial training to Hospital Services Administrators and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Shape and execute strategic plans for growth in partnership with the Division Vice President.
  • Expand service offerings with current hospital partners and support new partnership negotiations.
  • Influence hospital and physician relationships to enhance DaVita’s brand reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Coordinate audits, reporting, and corrective actions with state and federal a agencies.
  • Supervise clinical and biomedical teams to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care.
  • Direct hiring, training, evaluations, and performance management.
  • Partner with Medical Directors to ensure appropriate treatment modalities.
  • Represent DaVita on matters of quality and patient safety.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of practice required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 4–8 years of relevant experience in acute or hospital services management.
  • One year of acute hemodialysis experience required.
  • Experience in CQI methodology and working within a hospital environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners and communicate complex information clearly.
  • Scheduling flexibility and ability to travel as required.
