About the role
- Lead an inter-disciplinary Full Stack Development team at DATAGROUP in Rostock. Responsible for large development projects, client communication, and team mentoring.
Responsibilities
- You lead an interdisciplinary development team (5–8 people or more), promote the professional growth of your team members, and foster a culture of trust, learning, and technical excellence.
- You bear the technical responsibility for sometimes large development projects, manage resources efficiently, and ensure we meet our milestones on time and within budget.
- You work hands-on in both frontend and backend development and ensure we deliver modern, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- You are the primary point of contact for our clients, present solutions confidently, negotiate pricing on equal terms, and find the right tone and course of action even in challenging situations.
- You enjoy evaluating and introducing new technologies and supporting your team during their integration.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience in full stack development, including several years in a leadership role with personnel responsibility for teams of 5 or more.
- Technical stack (examples):
- - Frontend: React, Angular or Vue.js
- - Backend: Node.js, Python, Java or comparable technologies
- - Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL
- - DevOps/CI-CD: Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- You lead with clarity, empathy, and structure.
- Experience in personnel development, mentoring, and team building is part of your background.
- German: Business fluent (C2) both written and spoken
- English: Very good skills (C1 or better) for international projects and teams
- You understand business models, can interpret requirements strategically, and communicate with stakeholders confidently and solution-oriented.
- You remain curious, constructively question the status quo, and willingly bring new ideas to the team.
- You can navigate a large IT organization with confidence and embrace and optimize process-driven environments.
