About the role

• Kubernetes Platform Engineer responsible for developing and operating multi-tenant Kubernetes platforms with a focus on logging and monitoring. Evaluating new technologies and supporting stakeholders with Kubernetes questions.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the development and operation of our central multi-tenant Kubernetes platform, including logging and monitoring.
• You continuously evaluate new technologies and assess their suitability for use.
• You document best-practice approaches and promote cross-departmental knowledge sharing.
• You work on automating processes through Infrastructure as Code.
• You are the contact person (all genders) for other departments regarding questions about the Kubernetes platform.
• When others can’t resolve an issue, you provide 3rd-level support in the Kubernetes area to assist our customers.

Requirements

• You have several years of professional experience administering enterprise Kubernetes clusters.
• You enjoy applying Infrastructure as Code principles (e.g., with Terraform) and automating via CI/CD (GitOps).
• Ideally, you also have experience with telemetry and observability (metrics, logging, tracing).
• Network knowledge in Kubernetes environments (Cilium, various load balancers/Ingress) is desirable.
• You have a strong understanding of diagnosing and resolving incidents in production environments.
• Ideally, you already hold a CKA or CKAD certification or are willing to obtain one during your employment with us.
• You are proficient in German (spoken and written) at C1 level.
