About the role

• Kubernetes Platform Engineer responsible for enhancing and operating the multi-tenant Kubernetes platform. Collaborating on infrastructure automation and supporting cross-departmental queries.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the development and operation of our central multi-tenant Kubernetes platform, including logging and monitoring.
• You continuously evaluate new technologies and assess their applicability.
• You document best-practice approaches and ensure cross-departmental knowledge sharing.
• You work on automating processes using Infrastructure as Code.
• You are the point of contact (all genders) for other departments on questions related to the Kubernetes platform.
• When others can’t find a solution, you provide the necessary assistance as 3rd-level support for Kubernetes customers.

Requirements

• You have several years of professional experience administering enterprise Kubernetes clusters.
• You enjoy applying Infrastructure as Code principles (e.g., with Terraform) and automating via CI/CD (GitOps).
• Ideally, you also have experience with telemetry & observability (metrics, logging, tracing).
• Networking knowledge in the Kubernetes context (Cilium, various load balancers/Ingress) is desirable.
• You have a solid understanding of diagnosing and resolving incidents in production environments.
• Ideally, you already hold a CKA or CKAD certification, or you are willing to obtain one as part of your employment with us.
• You are proficient in German at C1 level, both written and spoken.
