About the role
- Betriebsleiter managing technical operations of biogas plants for Danpower Group in Germany. Leading team and ensuring efficient processes and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Technical leadership and maintenance of the biogas plants: You are responsible for the technical oversight of our biogas facility, including the associated combined heat and power units (CHP) and biogas upgrading/treatment systems.
- On-site presence at the plants, in Potsdam by arrangement (headquarters of Danpower GmbH), as well as remote/mobile work.
- You lead the team and plan your employees’ deployment to ensure smooth operations.
- You take care of onboarding as well as maintaining our service and maintenance concepts to keep the plants in optimal condition.
- Ensuring operational readiness and process optimization: Another key responsibility is ensuring and monitoring the supply of feedstock so that the plant runs efficiently.
- In the event of technical failures and malfunctions, you independently analyze the causes and find pragmatic solutions to restore operation quickly.
- You continuously optimize process workflows and assess the biological condition of the plant to increase efficiency.
- Permitting, occupational safety and profitability: You ensure that the economic project targets are met and work closely with the operations team as well as regularly with department management and executive management.
- In addition, you support the handling of insurance and warranty claims and ensure that operations remain permit-compliant.
Requirements
- Degree or technical qualification: You have a completed degree in agricultural sciences, mechanical engineering, or process engineering with a focus on bioenergy or biogas.
- Alternatively, you have a technical vocational qualification supplemented by further training as a technician or master craftsman.
- Professional experience and expertise: You have several years of professional experience in the field of biogas.
- You possess a good understanding of biological processes and process-engineering workflows and have already gained experience leading small operational teams.
- Specific technical knowledge: You also bring expertise in plant construction, engine technology, and gas upgrading/conditioning.
- IT, language and other skills: Very good MS Office skills, native-level German language skills, and possession of a valid driving license (class B) round off your profile.
