Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain PLC‑based control systems for automated equipment.
Program, integrate, and support industrial robots for material handling and automated processing.
Implement and optimise machine vision systems for detection, classification, and verification.
Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis across automation, robotics, and vision systems.
Prepare and review electrical and control documentation including functional specifications and manuals.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, robotics, and software teams to deliver integrated automation solutions.
Ensure systems comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance teams.
Coordinate tasks and projects independently and communicate progress clearly.
Work closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, and health and safety teams locally and globally to optimise workflows, evaluate suppliers and technologies, and integrate automation into existing and new processes.
Continuously review system performance and implement improvements to maximise efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
At least three years’ experience in a controls or automation engineering role.
Strong experience with PLC and HMI programming using platforms such as Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or Beckhoff.
Hands‑on experience programming and commissioning industrial robots, including safety integration and EOAT considerations.
Practical experience with machine vision systems, including integration, tuning, and image acquisition fundamentals.
Good understanding of industrial communication protocols and safety‑rated automation components.
Experience in regulated or safety‑critical environments is highly desirable.
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
Flexibility to travel internationally when required.
