About the role
- Analista de Patentes supporting the technical and legal team in all stages of a patent application. Collaborating with various departments and ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Management of patent administrative proceedings (including those involving PCT and the Paris Convention), utility models and patents of addition before the INPI (Brazilian Patent Office) and partner international firms;
- Preparation, filing and deadline management for filings, office actions, maintenance fees, examination requests, appeals and other formal proceedings;
- Management and updating of internal systems and control spreadsheets, ensuring traceability and integrity of procedural data;
- Interaction with clients and foreign correspondents to obtain and provide documents, information and updates on case progress;
- Support to the technical and legal team in preparing status reports, portfolio analyses and performance indicator reports;
- Review of technical and legal documents, ensuring compliance with internal standards and INPI requirements;
- Support for internal and external audits, assisting with the organization and filing of industrial property dossiers;
- Collaboration with other departments (finance, compliance, technology and litigation) on interface activities and process improvements.
Requirements
- Completed university degree;
- Previous experience with administrative and procedural patent routines (minimum 2 years);
- Experience with PCT procedures, the Paris Convention and interactions with foreign patent firms;
- Practical knowledge of INPI rules and procedures;
- Advanced English (reading and communication with foreign correspondents);
- Good written communication and organizational skills;
- Ability to work with multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines.
