Responsibilities
- As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and enhancing a new application that powers critical ID card setup and generation capabilities within the Member & Enrollment ecosystem at Aetna Tech.
- Design, build, test, deploy, and support high‑quality software solutions that drive business value, ensure application stability, and deliver exceptional performance at scale.
- Work within an Agile environment and collaborate closely with product owners, business partners, architects, and fellow engineers.
- Write code, develop software components, and implement complex functionalities according to product requirements.
- Collaborate across a cross-functional development team and stakeholders to make high-level architectural decisions, propose design patterns, and ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of digital solutions.
- Leverage advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code efficiency.
- Integrate various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the digital solution.
- Write and execute comprehensive test cases, conduct code reviews, perform debugging, and troubleshoot issues to ensure the reliability, stability, and high quality of digital solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing single page applications (SPA) using React JS or Angular
- 5+ years of experience developing Java applications using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, building RESTfull API and microservice architecture
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Azure, GCP, or other public cloud platforms, including expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Containerization, Kubernetes, DevOps tools and methodologies
- 5+ years of experience with automation and build technologies such as Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and related tools
- 3+ years of experience building, testing, and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience working within Scrum/Agile development environments (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience using GitHub Copilot and Cursor for AI‑assisted development (preferred)
- Healthcare industry experience (preferred)
