About the role

  • Executive Director overseeing Aetna's Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans (SNP) at CVS Health, driving strategic decisions in a growth opportunity with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Developing a strong strategic partnership with the business leadership of the Medicare Duals segment by collaborating on business initiatives
  • Recognizing and anticipating matters that will materially impact financial outcomes
  • Providing sound risk-management advice
  • Communicating all of the above effectively
  • Coordinating the analytics, reporting, and pricing/bidding best practices of Aetna's SNP segment, across all Aetna geographies
  • Maintaining relationships with and incorporating appropriate insights from associated Medicaid actuaries into integrated product pricing
  • Establishing best practices, ensuring consistency, and providing guidance to facilitate achievement of financial goals
  • Leading and developing a team of actuaries responsible for supporting the IVL MA SNP business, local market partners, and Medicaid partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of actuarial or related experience
  • ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries)
  • Proven project management skills including experience in development and management of multiple projects
  • Prior people leader experience
  • Financial acumen and experience building financial models
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbally and through written presentation materials or emails)
  • Relationship builder with the ability to partner across segments and functional areas
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment, as well as independently
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Creativity and intellectual curiosity
