Responsibilities
Developing a strong strategic partnership with the business leadership of the Medicare Duals segment by collaborating on business initiatives
Recognizing and anticipating matters that will materially impact financial outcomes
Providing sound risk-management advice
Communicating all of the above effectively
Coordinating the analytics, reporting, and pricing/bidding best practices of Aetna's SNP segment, across all Aetna geographies
Maintaining relationships with and incorporating appropriate insights from associated Medicaid actuaries into integrated product pricing
Establishing best practices, ensuring consistency, and providing guidance to facilitate achievement of financial goals
Leading and developing a team of actuaries responsible for supporting the IVL MA SNP business, local market partners, and Medicaid partners
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
10+ years of actuarial or related experience
ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries)
Proven project management skills including experience in development and management of multiple projects
Prior people leader experience
Financial acumen and experience building financial models
Excellent communication skills (both verbally and through written presentation materials or emails)
Relationship builder with the ability to partner across segments and functional areas
Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment, as well as independently
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications
