About the role

  • Analytics Engineer developing scalable ETL data pipelines and data models for TruStage's financial services. Collaborating with teams to ensure data integrity and insights for decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using tools such as Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, or similar to optimize data processing efficiency
  • Optimize data ingestion processes into data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and consistency across multiple sources
  • Develop and maintain dimensional data models in data warehousing solutions like Snowflake for analytical and reporting purposes by integrating multiple data sources to provide actionable insights
  • Implement data transformations and aggregation techniques to support complex analytical queries, Data Science needs, processes, and improve reporting and query performance
  • Establish automated data validation scripts and monitoring processes to reduce anomalies and maintain consistent high data integrity standards
  • Implement corrective actions to ensure continued accuracy and reliability of data across platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business objectives into technical solutions
  • Document data pipelines, data models, and technical specifications involving all workflows, schemas, and scripts to ensure clarity and reproducibility of data processes
  • Provide ongoing support for data pipelines, data models, and analytical systems under supervision
  • Continuously evaluate and improve data processes and architectures to enhance performance and scalability
  • Ensure data usage adheres to established Data Governance best practices, including any requirements for data encryption and regulatory and audit purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, economics, statistics, information management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and R; familiarity with Snowflake, Alteryx, and Azure; understanding of version control and business intelligence tools
  • Advanced understanding of database design, data modeling, and data quality assurance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and project management skills
