About the role

  • As Senior Automation QA Engineer at CUJU, you'll ensure quality and performance in mobile releases. Work with a growing tech team to innovate football talent scouting through AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests that validate critical business flows in our backend systems
  • Support the mobile QA team with sustainable UI automation
  • Cover business logic and service integrations with well-structured automated tests
  • Correlate test failures with application logs and metrics to provide clear, actionable defect reports
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to improve testability
  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast, reliable feedback
  • Plan performance, load, and reliability tests for backend services with the engineering team
  • Define and track relevant quality and performance metrics to monitor system health over time
  • Identify which scenarios should be automated vs. tested manually
  • Support manual exploratory and regression testing for backend and mobile apps
  • Communicate test strategies, coverage, and results clearly to developers, PMs, and other stakeholders
  • Continuously refine and improve our automation strategy, tooling, and processes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation
  • Solid experience in API test automation (ideally Playwright + Typescript or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with mobile UI automation (ideally with Appium + Java or similar)
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies
  • Proven ability to translate business and product requirements into automated test cases and scenarios
  • Strong focus on code quality, maintainability and test design
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar)
  • Familiarity with REST/GraphQL APIs, JSON, and common debugging tools
  • Excellent communication skills in English and a strong team-player mindset
