About the role

• Cyber Security Specialist/IT-Administrator focusing on IT security tasks. Involved in safeguarding environments, implementing standards, and managing security incidents in a hybrid workplace.

Responsibilities

• Secure IT environments & implement security standards
• Analyze and harden existing infrastructures (network, servers, clients, cloud)
• Design and implement security policies, firewall rules and access concepts
• Support and further develop existing security solutions (e.g., Endpoint Protection, EDR, VPN, M365 Security)
• Vulnerability management & conduct security assessments
• Detect threats & manage security incidents
• Monitor security-relevant events, logs & alerts (e.g., FortiAnalyzer)
• Raise team awareness through security-awareness initiatives and clear action recommendations
• Independent project work on IT security topics (internal & at client sites)
• Collaborate with the admin team, management and external partners
• Continuously advance the security strategy

Requirements

• Vocational training or degree in IT, ideally with a focus on IT security
• Professional experience in IT administration or cyber security
• Solid knowledge of network security, firewalls, Windows security, M365 Security
• Experience with security solutions such as EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM is an advantage
• Analytical thinking, structured working approach & confidentiality
• Very good German language skills, both spoken and written
