- ASL Interpreter providing in-person and virtual interpretation services for Deaf employees of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The role includes staffing for various meetings and discussions during business hours.
Responsibilities
- Providing in-person ASL Interpretation services for Deaf employees of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in St. Paul, MN
- VRI services may also be requested on occasion to support virtual meetings with external and geographically separated participants
- Service requests will range in duration from a minimum of two to nine hours during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding 11 federal holidays
- Assignment longer than two hours will be staffed with a minimum of two Interpreters.
Requirements
- Over the age of 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Possess reliable transportation to the service location
- National Interpreter Certification (NIC)
- Experience performing ASL interpretation in government settings is highly preferred.
