About the role

  • Rental Manager overseeing equipment activities to maximize financial performance at Crown Equipment Corporation. Managing inventory, customer interactions, and recruitment of personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all rental and used equipment activities while maximizing financial performance.
  • Ensure quality shop work and timely shipment to the customer.
  • Manage buying and selling of equipment, including possible equipment transfers between branches.
  • Manage inventory, maintenance, and depreciation of equipment.
  • Oversee scheduling, delivery, and pickup of all equipment.
  • Develop sales strategies and coordinate with other departments.
  • Set the pricing for used equipment.
  • Maintain direct contact with current and prospective customers.
  • Accompany sales personnel to perform trade-in evaluations at customer facilities.
  • Recruit, select, train, develop, and counsel personnel.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years related experience
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
  • Bachelor degree, preferably in Business or Marketing (preferred)
  • Three to five years experience managing a rental/used fleet with lift trucks and batteries preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and department performance reports.
  • Good computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel and Word programs
