About the role
- Software Test Engineer in a growing tech company enhancing testing processes and web application quality. Engaging in both manual and automated testing within a hybrid working environment.
Responsibilities
- Planning and execution of manual and automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end, system and regression tests)
- Creation and maintenance of test cases, test plans and test strategies
- Analysis, documentation and tracking of defects in close collaboration with development teams
- Participation in agile processes (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
- Close collaboration with Development and IT Support (2nd / 3rd level)
- Continuous improvement of test coverage and reduction of bugs and support tickets
- Ensuring quality with respect to functionality, performance, security and usability
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in software testing (manual and automated)
- Excellent German language skills at native level (C2 or equivalent)
- Willingness to be regularly present on-site in Nuremberg (hybrid model, not full remote)
- Experience with test automation as well as unit and integration testing
- Programming skills in JavaScript and/or C#
- Nice-to-haves: ISTQB certification
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience testing web applications
- Background in software development
