About the role

  • Coordinate the implementation and facilitation of Thriving Essentials in 100 congregations
  • Manage the expansion of the Essentials suite to include additional resources for lay leaders.
  • Coordinate the facilitation of the mission discovery and vision clarity process with all congregations.
  • Coordinate on-ramp strategies, such as listening and learning gatherings, topical Zoom gatherings, and pastor peer groups, to cultivate readiness for deeper learning.
  • Support the launch of 30 new Thriving Practices cohorts over the grant period, including the application process, administration of grants, and evaluation.
  • Facilitate collaboration with other CRCNA ministries including Resonate Global Mission, Diaconal Ministries, and World Renew, ensuring sustainability and localized support
  • Lead the coordination of upgrading the Connections Database with IT to track congregational readiness and renewal journeys.
  • Support the development of a network of coaches, including facilitator training and deployment.
  • Ensure participating denominational ministries report both quantitative and qualitative feedback for Thrive’s annual reporting to the Lilly Endowment, Inc.
  • Assist in the quarterly tracking and collection of quantitative markers to gauge program progress against set metrics and help prepare reports
  • Collaborate with communications staff to utilize the CRCNA's infrastructure to share project learnings and success stories through various channels
  • Track and process project expenses in keeping with grant requirements and CRCNA procedures
  • Coordinate travel logistics for project staff.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Equip Team Lead.

Requirements

  • Professing membership in a Christian Reformed congregation, or of a church in communion with the CRCNA, and agreement with the doctrine of the church signified by signing a covenant statement.
  • Proven ability to plan, manage, and implement operational improvements and solutions for greater efficiency, simplicity, and productivity.
  • Demonstrated administrative, organizational, and management skills, with a goal and task-oriented approach and proven ability to self-challenge and time-manage.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with highly developed interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, actively listen, and engage others, with experience working in a collaborative environment. Adept at building community, both virtually and in person.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education required in a related field.
  • Significant experience within the CRCNA is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, financial oversight, budgeting, planning, and improving systems and operations
  • Demonstrated experience working with faith communities preferred
