About the role

  • Regional Sales Manager responsible for driving sales of vAuto products to dealers in New York and Connecticut. Travel extensively within the designated territory with a focus on building customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the sales of vAuto products to franchise and independent car dealerships, including groups containing up to 9 rooftops.
  • Accountable for generating and maximizing sales revenue and increasing customers in a territory.
  • Offers creative solutions to help dealers reach their business objectives and provides insights on vAuto products to internal partners regarding key dealer business challenges.
  • Reinforces the value of existing vAuto and Cox Auto products and serves as a primary point of contact for vAuto.
  • Owns, deepens, and continually builds the relationship with the dealers they are responsible for.
  • Uses the Challenger-based selling approach to manage and successfully close complex sales opportunities.
  • Uses insight and consultative selling techniques to provide feedback to clients on industry trends, strategies, and challenges.
  • Partners with client stakeholders to build consensus for Cox Automotive Retail Solutions products within their organization.
  • Independently and collaboratively strategizes for solving deal-level challenges.
  • Discusses, presents, and demonstrates key advantages of the vAuto solution to the customer.
  • Meets or exceeds assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue sales goals as set by the region and or division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years of experience in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with vAuto.
  • Successful usage of SFX (Salesforce/SalesforceX) as part of your sales workflow in a previous role.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in outside regional sales management preferred.
  • 5+ years of knowledge in automotive software, advertising, or automotive software sales experience including comparable dealership software packages (AutoVision (CDK AutoVision / R&R AutoVision), ACV / ClearCar (ACV MAX / ClearCar AI Inspections), VinCue, and others.
  • Requires strong knowledge of the automotive industry, especially automotive dealerships, pricing, appraising, merchandising, and acquisition.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, relationship-building, collaboration, sales, and territory management skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.
  • Ability to use and interpret research and data to help customers find opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent database management and customer service skills, strong organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined with an energetic, engaging personality.
