About the role
- Planning and executing maintenance and modernization projects for residential properties. Collaborating with landlords and overseeing construction quality in the Ruhr area of Germany.
Responsibilities
- Independently plan and execute maintenance and modernization measures for our residential and commercial properties as well as for large-scale construction projects for an assigned portfolio in Mülheim an der Ruhr and Essen
- Prepare construction schedules, specifications/tender documents, and assist with contract award processes
- Monitor construction projects, execution quality, and subcontractors' deadlines
- Monitor warranties/defects liability of our existing properties and ensure safety, health, and environmental protection on site
- Support achieving our climate targets by actively contributing to the energy optimization of the building portfolio
- Work closely with our landlords, property managers and client advisors
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering (Bauingenieurwesen) or completed training as a technician or master craftsman (m/f/d) with relevance to the housing industry
- Solid knowledge of the housing sector
- Professional experience in the modernization of existing residential properties, as well as good knowledge of construction law, relevant technical standards and the HOAI
- Understanding of and experience with tendering software (e.g. ORCA & iTWO)
- Strong cost awareness and strategic thinking
- Reliable, team-oriented and communicative personality with assertiveness
