About the role

  • Supplier Quality Engineer ensuring compliance with quality standards and driving continuous improvement within supplier facilities. Engaging with suppliers to monitor KPIs and optimize performance within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive supplier selection through Common Assessments
  • Lead on-site process audits to ensure compliance and process capability
  • Develop suppliers using Lean tools to improve quality, eliminate systemic issues, optimize cost, inventory, and delivery performance
  • Monitor supplier KPIs to reduce risks and improve performance across the supply base
  • Support smooth transitions, VA/VE activities, and new product introductions (NPIs) with suppliers
  • Partner with suppliers during NPIs to ensure milestones are achieved on time
  • Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing teams to define process parameters that meet product and process requirements
  • Contribute to and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coach and develop suppliers using quality improvement tools (process control, error proofing, etc.) to achieve Resideo’s goals of zero disruptions, on-time delivery, and efficient PO management

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of quality engineering practices
  • Trained in Six Sigma / Lean methodologies
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver innovative quality solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare progress reports and executive-level presentations
  • Ability to work both in office and production environments
  • Self-motivation and ability to deliver results with minimal supervision
  • Hands-on experience with quality assurance processes
  • Proven experience leading teams in problem solving and driving supplier improvements using Six Sigma tools
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Effective negotiation skills and ability to build win-win supplier relationships
  • High level of interpersonal skills to manage conflict and challenging situations effectively
  • Proficiency in Czech and English
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supplier Quality or related roles
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards
