About the role

  • Therapist providing treatment support to children and adolescents in a hybrid setting. Engage in assessments, therapy, and crisis intervention while collaborating with families.

Responsibilities

  • To coordinate and provide treatment support necessary to aid children/adolescent groups and their support structure.
  • The Therapist will participate in activities of the organization such as individual and family evaluations, individual and family assessments, crisis intervention, and provide 24 hours a day, 7 days per week support to the consumer base.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide therapeutic, rehabilitative and group therapy services to children/adolescents and or adults
  • Sign orders for service for appropriate Mental Health Services as in scope of the practice
  • Document consumer progress via progress notes
  • Document (prepare service notes) for all billable time
  • Must be able to carry a minimum caseload of 10 consumers
  • Complete documentation that meets elements of complete psychological assessments or diagnostic assessments for enhanced services
  • Conduct, at a minimum, one face-to-face interview with the recipient and their family/significant others during an initial assessment and reassessments.
  • Provide DSM-V (or its successor) diagnoses, Axes I-V
  • Develop, sign and date the initial assessment and reassessment
  • Able to demonstrate skills in mediation, facilitation, advocacy and resolving systemic concerns and sometimes under stressful conditions
  • Notify the staff psychiatrist of any significant change in a recipient’s physical or mental status
  • Conducts family, individual therapy and treatment plans as appropriate
  • Complete trainings as required
  • Participate, when assigned, in "first responder" crisis response on a 24/7/365 basis to consumers experiencing a crisis
  • Assist in defining program goals and objectives; assist in establishing methods and strategies of accomplishing program goals
  • Maintain a working environment conducive to positive morale, individual style, and teamwork
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other clinical based discipline
  • Minimum of one-year post-graduate experience is required
  • Must be able to pass a satisfactory background check, drug test, and child abuse registry
  • Ability to successfully complete service-specific training courses
  • Proficient in clinical theories and their practical application
  • Computer literate; experience with MS Word and Excel
  • Licensed (or licensed eligible) LCSW or LPC
  • Bilingual
  • Successful applicant will be well organized, have excellent time management skills and be able to work well both independently and with a team
  • Have a valid drivers’ license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
