About the role
- Solutions Architect specializing in Java and .NET, driving omni-channel solutions for Sonepar's digital transformation. Mentoring teams and ensuring architectural excellence in hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and efficient solutions using Java and .NET technologies within a microservices architecture.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the architectural blueprint for our omnichannel, service-oriented platform.
- Ensure alignment of architecture and design with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architecture.
- Design and develop software solutions using Java and .NET for multiple channels (web, mobile, in-store).
- Implement microservices that support seamless integration and communication across platforms.
- Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and engineering best practices across the organization.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance our solution architecture.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our architecture innovative and competitive.
- Ensure the architecture supports high availability, scalability, and performance requirements.
- Perform performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting of distributed systems and microservices.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Work closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive environment, encouraging the sharing of ideas and best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software architecture and design, with a focus on distributed systems, data processing, and microservices.
- Extensive experience with React, JavaScript, Java, and .NET technologies.
- Strong knowledge of designing and implementing microservices and service-oriented architectures (SOA).
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with omnichannel platforms and customer experience solutions.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
