About the role
- Financial Controller overseeing finance operations at Iomart, a Cloud Services provider. Managing financial performance and reporting while leading the finance team in Glasgow.
Responsibilities
- oversee the day-to-day finance operations of Iomart’s Cloud Services business unit
- prepare monthly Executive Packs for business unit management and Group reporting
- own divisional P&L, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group reporting standards
- oversee monthly close processes, financial controls, ensuring segregation of duties
- prepare budgets and rolling forecasts, monitor performance, report variances with actionable insights
- identify cost efficiencies and implement process improvements
- manage data centre CAPEX budget and spend, collaborating with stakeholders to develop business cases
- support half-year and year-end audit processes
- mentor and develop staff within the finance function
Requirements
- qualified accountant with at least 5 years’ post qualification experience
- proven track record in translating complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial teams and senior leadership
- experience in a recurring revenue business model
- strong track record in cost control, efficiency improvements, and driving continuous process enhancements
- solid systems knowledge, with exposure to upgrades and process improvement projects (Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central advantageous)
- confident working with large and complex data sets
