Responsibilities
- We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled KDB+ Developer to join our development team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications and data pipelines using q/KDB+, with a strong focus on supporting trading and market data systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain applications and components using q/KDB+.
- Optimize and manage time-series databases for high-frequency financial data.
- Collaborate with quants, traders, and data engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Build robust, scalable, and low-latency data pipelines to support real-time and historical analytics.
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform code reviews.
- Support and troubleshoot production issues related to KDB+ applications.
- Work in Agile teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in q programming language and KDB+ platform.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in development using KDB+.
- Solid understanding of time-series data, market data feeds (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters), or trading systems.
- Experience working with large datasets and optimizing queries for performance.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments.
- Good understanding of software development best practices and version control (e.g., Git).
- Ability to work closely with both technical and business teams.
- Nice to Have: Experience in finance or capital markets, especially in equities or fixed income.
- Knowledge of additional languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
