Field Service Technician responsible for customer support, repair, and maintenance of wind turbine converters. Working on-site and ensuring quality standards in the renewable energy sector.
Responsibilities
Responsible for customer support for various types of wind turbine converters and electronics, on site or at the customer's locations
Repair, installation, commissioning and maintenance of frequency converters and individual parts on onshore and offshore wind turbines
General service and maintenance work on wind turbine converters
Problem solving on electrical converters and various electrical electronis devices.
Preparing documentation of all work involved, preparation of detailed service reports
Ensuring quality standards and occupational safety
Supporting engineering in the validation of new products, at the customer's and supplier's premises or in the in-house test center
Helping with documentation for customers (offers,technical reports,technical solutions, electrical drawings and working manuals)
Ability to read and work with various electrical diagrams
Understanding work with electrical measurment equipment(multimeters and osciloscopes)
Ability to work with various mechanical tools
Requirements
You have completed training as a certified electrical/ electronic technician or specializing in the field of electrical engineering/automation
You have relevant experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical devices
Industry knowledge in the renewable sector would be an advantage
Experience and training with various frequency converter manufacturers in the areas of repairs, installations, commissioning and maintenance is advantage
Very good communication skills and a confident manner towards the customer are a matter of course for you
You have a good command of written and spoken German and English, other foreign languages are an advantage
You are proactive, motivated and your way of working is solution-orientated
You see international travel as an enrichment of your professional activity
You are suitable for working at height and offshore
You have advanced computer skills and can work with Microsoft Office products and various softwares
You have a class B driving licence
