About the role

  • Physical Therapist providing direct care for patients with disabilities at Connecticut Children's. Collaborating with families and health care teams to implement therapy and ensure effective care.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care to patients with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations in various settings
  • Collaborates with patients, families, and other healthcare team members
  • Educates patients and families in physical therapy methods

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy required. Doctoral Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pediatric therapy strongly preferred.
  • Current State of Connecticut Physical Therapist License required or Temporary State of Connecticut License with the oversight of Licensed Physical Therapist. If hired with Temporary License, must attain Permanent License within 120 days of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/ CPR in adult, child and infant within first six months of hire.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
  • Beginning to intermediate skill in Microsoft Office.
