About the role
- Accounting Specialist as Controller of overall banking risks for an international bank in Zurich. Analyzing risks, monitoring compliance, and assisting in regulatory reporting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Analyse the bank’s material risks within overall bank management, taking into account ICAAP and ILAAP requirements
- Monitor risk types such as market, credit and liquidity risk, as well as operational risk
- Support long-term planning calculations for balance sheet, earnings and capital structures
- Prepare relevant information for bank management, analyze KPI development, produce forecasts, perform variance analyses and prepare risk reports
- Develop decision-making inputs for strategic and operational objectives
- Contribute to the further development of risk management and controlling processes as well as the early warning system
- Participate in ad-hoc projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking & Finance or Economics
- CPA or ACCA certification advantageous
- Professional experience in banking in accounting (regulatory reporting), external audit or banking consultancy
- Interest in regulatory work and a strong affinity for numbers, data and analysis
- IT affinity for banking systems and software and confident user of MS Office applications
- Fluent in German and English
