About the role

  • Governance specialist for AI compliance at banking consultancy coni+partner AG. Developing frameworks and monitoring ethical AI usage within the banking organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor frameworks to ensure the responsible, compliant, and ethical use of AI across the bank
  • Focus on further developing AI guidelines, operationalizing AI governance, collaborating with working groups and stakeholders, conducting AI fairness audits, providing training on AI ethics, and overseeing reporting
  • Advance and operationalize AI frameworks, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while fostering trust in AI-driven initiatives within the bank
  • Continuously collaborate with AI working groups to review governance guidelines on AI ethics, fairness, transparency, and disclosure
  • Operationalize the AI governance framework across the entire lifecycle of use cases
  • Work with control functions and stakeholders to integrate new AI practices
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards for AI
  • Implement methods to identify and mitigate risks (e.g., content bias) in AI models
  • Conduct training to promote responsible AI use across the bank
  • Monitor AI governance KPIs, produce reports, and recommend policy optimizations
  • Track market trends to stay ahead in AI developments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Economics, Business Informatics, or Engineering
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, etc., are an advantage
  • Professional experience in a bank, at one of the Big Four, or in banking consulting
  • Deep knowledge of ethics, guidelines, and regulatory frameworks related to AI in banking
  • Experience in IT governance (centralized/decentralized), business risk management, data quality, or AI-related compliance
  • Familiarity with techniques for detecting bias and model interpretability
  • Analytical mindset with strong team orientation
  • Experience with agile project management and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Positive, cooperative working style and customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to drive projects from concept through execution
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in German and English.
