Responsibilities
- Assisting in monthly closing process including some month end journals for the main trading company in Airport Dimensions EMEA.
- Monthly Intercompany reconciliations on balance sheet and P&L.
- Preparing the monthly management accounts files.
- Helping our central service team in South Africa with raising customer invoices, recording and allocating receipts.
- Helping our central service team in South Africa with coding of supplier invoices, managing supplier reconciliations.
- Become an approver for supplier payments via the bank.
- Performing analysis of Marketing expenses and working out various accruals and prepayments necessary.
- Raising relevant marketing recharges to the respective group companies.
- Performing analysis of Technology expenses and working out various accruals and prepayments necessary.
- Raising relevant Technology recharges to respective group companies.
- Preparing quarterly VAT return submission.
- Assisting with year-end reporting.
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Ad-hoc financial analysis, financial modelling, reporting and project assignments as required.
Requirements
- A recognised accountancy qualification (AAT or overseas equivalent) or a studier (e.g. ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience in a similar role and have a solid understanding of bookkeeping and management accounting
- Ideally a quantitative degree (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Maths) achieving 2:1 or above
- Knowledge/experience of multi-national groups with multi-currencies a plus
- Strong financial accounting skills, including working knowledge of FRS 102
- Advanced Excel skills including sumifs, vlookup and pivot table. VBA and Power Query desirable.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Word
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Project management experience
- Experience working on Access Dimensions or Microsoft Dynamics would be preferred
