About the role

• Account Analyst ensuring accurate accounting records for Cogna, the largest educational services company in Brazil. Collaborating on monthly and annual closings and providing support during audits.

Responsibilities

• Post accounting entries, ensuring correct classification and allocation within the chart of accounts.
• Collaborate in the monthly and annual accounting close processes, including analyzing and reviewing entries and necessary adjustments.
• Provide support during internal and external audits, supplying documentation and information as requested.
• Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial reports.
• Analyze income statement and balance sheet accounts to explain period-to-period variances.
• Support SOX controls.
• Maintain effective communication with all areas of the company.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting (completed or in progress).
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Power BI and SAP Fiori is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Proactive attitude.
• Organized.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Flexibility.
