About the role

• Jr. Legal Counsel at Codeway responsible for legal operations and supporting compliance. Collaborating with Product and Marketing teams on IP and legal matters.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the legal operations behind Codeway Products and Codeway’s IP enforcement strategy, managing all infringement claims, takedown actions, and counterclaims across global digital platforms (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
• Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to assist and coordinate copyright and IP processes.
• Assist in the management of legal disputes and pre-litigation processes involving competitors, counterfeiters, and third-party infringers.
• Support all relevant legal processes across the company, from documentation and compliance to stakeholder communication, ensuring smooth and accurate execution of legal operations.
• Provide support to anti-piracy and copyright processes for our products and marketing activities by managing, monitoring, and documenting.
• Draft the legal documentation, including but not limited to cease-and-desist letters, commercial contracts, and policies.
• Provide legal advice to Product and Marketing teams to align creative and commercial efforts with legal best practices.
• Conduct research on a regular basis to stay updated on the latest digital piracy methods, brand-new IP-related regulations and trends, as well as other significant developments.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer admitted to the Turkish Bar with a maximum of 1 year of experience in a reputable law firm or as an in-house legal counsel, preferably operating in the fields of IP law, technology law, data protection, and commercial law.
• Strong interest in intellectual property law (especially in trademark law and copyright law), data protection, contract law, technology law, mobile app industry, digital platforms, and the current business operations behind them.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to document processes accurately.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with a hands-on approach.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
