About the role

  • Inventory Control Analyst managing inventory replenishment and procurement processes at FCL. Collaborating with vendors and teams to enhance operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory replenishment for Foodservice and retail warehouse items, including special orders and opportunity buys.
  • Perform buying functions within Blue Yonder for assigned vendors, monitor forecasts, and maintain inventory turnover targets.
  • Ensure product quality and minimize shrink by monitoring date-sensitive items, resolving system mismatches, and coordinating timely transfers.
  • Maintain vendor and item data in systems (Blue Yonder, CICS, Merch OPS), set up new items, and handle EDI and cross-dock issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on promotions, procurement projects, and inventory balancing; provide backup support to Supply Chain Managers.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service internally and externally, participate in vendor meetings, and assist with price updates and promotional planning.

Requirements

  • Have 1-3 years of relevant experience. Experience in buying would be an asset.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business Administration or Commerce. (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Are familiar with Microsoft Office software such as Excel and Outlook. Working toward Project Management Association of Canada (PMAC) will be considered an asset.
