Responsibilities
- Manages an inventory of low to moderate complexity and exposure commercial claims
- Investigates and resolves claims according to company protocols
- Communicates regularly with customers and insureds
- Verifies coverage and establishes timely and adequate reserves
- Conducts investigations to gather pertinent information
- Works with internal and external partners to facilitate claim outcomes
- Authorizes claim disbursements within authority limit
- Identifies and addresses subrogation/salvage opportunities or potential fraud occurrences
- Maintains compliance with state/local regulatory requirements
Requirements
- High school Diploma required
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire, where applicable
- Prior claim handling, or business experience in the insurance industry and/or customer service is preferred.
