Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of platform engineers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
Provide expert technical guidance to the team, ensuring all implementations align with architectural standards and industry best practices.
Manage the full performance lifecycle, including regular reviews, feedback, and the creation of development plans to facilitate engineering growth.
Effectively allocate tasks and resources to ensure timely project delivery and optimal team utilization across multiple workstreams.
Partner closely with Platform Architect and the Director to define designs, translate vision into actionable roadmaps, and dissolve complex technical challenges.
Lead the design and implementation of complex infrastructure solutions using Terraform, ensuring they scale with CloudPay's global requirements.
Drive the design and development of major IDP features, ensuring the platform enhances developer productivity and adheres to scalability principles.
Evangelize and drive the continuous improvement of DevOps practices across the department, ensuring alignment with modern architectural principles.
Act as the escalation point for complex production support project, guiding the team through root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing long-term solutions to minimize downtime.
Design and maintain robust, efficient CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of infrastructure and applications.
Refine automated testing framework to guarantee the reliability and security of all platform components.
Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively detect and mitigate issues within the CI/CD pipelines and the broader platform.
Requirements
Extensive experience in infrastructure engineering or DevOps, with a proven track record of managing or leading technical teams.
Demonstrated success in mentoring engineers to achieve technical excellence and career progression.
Deep Technical Expertise: Mastery of Terraform, CI/CD tooling (e.g., Argo CD, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Groovy.
Advanced knowledge of networking, security, and system administration.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making abilities.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment.
